ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 43-year-old seafarer voluntarily surrendered to the police after learning that an arrest warrant was issued against him for violation of Republic Act 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004).
Ernesto Cabrera Jr. of Brgy. Lanot here gave himself up at the Roxas City police station Friday morning after Regional Trial Court Branch 14 Judge Faustino Roxas Jr. ordered his arrest on April 12, 2021.
The court recommended P36,000.00 bail for his temporary liberty. He is presently detained at the police station for proper disposition.
Meanwhile, a man wanted for serious physical injuries was arrested Thursday afternoon at his residence in Sitio Tigis, Brgy. Cabugao, Ivisan.
Ronnie Javier Vista, 50, did not resist when the Ivisan police served a warrant of arrest issued by Municipal Circuit Trial Court Judge Ramcez John Honrado of Dao-lvisan on April 22, 2021.
A bail of P18,000 was recommended for his temporary liberty.
