Two minors have accused their schoolmates of raping them at an abandoned house in San Dionisio, Iloilo.
The incident occurred last week but was only reported to police authorities several days later.
The girls remained silent about the incident until rumors began circulating, which forced them to tell their parents.
Captain Edward Villanis, San Dionisio police chief, said authorities immediately had the complainants undergo medical examinations.
Villanis clarified that it was not a case of gang rape.
One girl was allegedly raped by a minor while the other by a young man of legal age.
The incident allegedly occurred near the school campus where both victims and suspects are enrolled.
Villanis said they are awaiting a certificate of discernment from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) before filing charges.
