SB19 releases The First Take versions of ‘DAM’ and ‘Time’

Sony Music Entertainment announced the worldwide release of The First Take versions of “DAM” and “Time,” two of SB19’s most acclaimed hits.

Music fans can now stream the new versions on all major digital platforms.

Both tracks debuted through exclusive one-take performances on THE FIRST TAKE, which premiered on Nov. 3 and Nov. 24, 2025, respectively.

The releases mark SB19’s return to the influential Japanese YouTube channel, where they remain the first and only Filipino and Southeast Asian act to perform—and the first ever to do so twice.

THE FIRST TAKE is a Japanese YouTube channel that features artists performing live in a single take.

Artists who have appeared include BTS’ V, Harry Styles, Stray Kids, and Hitsujibungaku.

Pablo said the group values the chance to represent the Philippines on a global stage.

“We are happy and honored to be back in TFT,” Pablo said.

“It has always been our goal to champion Filipino talent and perform on a globally recognized platform.”

“This is a huge opportunity and honor for us, and we are excited to share our passion with the world.”

Stell described the invitation as an achievement worth celebrating.

“Our first appearance already made an impact, and this return makes us even prouder,” Stell said.

“Performing on THE FIRST TAKE is a huge achievement.”

“It may not be a trophy, but it is an honor to share our music and represent our country.”

“We hope that more Filipino artists will have the opportunity to perform on that stage and share the richness of our music with the world.”

Josh reflected on how far the group has come since dreaming of appearing on the platform.

“We used to daydream about performing there, and now we’ve grown and are finally doing it, not just for SB19 but also to show what real Filipino talent is,” Josh said.

Ken emphasized the pressure and pride involved in performing for a global audience.

“Although the performance is similar to what we’ve done before, we did the song in a single take,” Ken said.

“It really is a true one-take recording, and the first take is what they used.”

“We put in a lot of hard work to give our best and perform without mistakes.”

“We are truly grateful for the opportunity and feel proud that we were able to share this moment with everyone.”

SB19 also recently made history as the first Filipino group to chart on Billboard Japan, debuting at No. 17 on the Top Album Sales chart with the Simula at Wakas EP, released in September 2025.

Their song “Time” previously reached No. 1 on the Line Music Japan World Music Top 50 chart.

“DAM” holds the record as the second most-viewed Filipino music video within 24 hours of release.

The group is also the first Filipino act to enter The Official MENA Chart, ranking No. 7 on the UAE Top 10 and No. 17 on the Saudi Arabia Top 20.
