Sapian’s most wanted person arrested

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Number 1 Most Wanted Person in Sapian, Capiz was arrested Thursday at Barangay Agtatacay Sur, Sapian Capiz.
Police identified the suspect as Jerlen Evangelio who was arrested at his house for the crime of murder.
The warrant for his arrest was issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Antonio Gerardo S. Amular of Branch 21 in Mambusao, Capiz. He is presently detained at the police station of Sapian.
Meanwhile, a 26-year-old bet collector was arrested and charged for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 or Anti Illegal Gambling Act.
Dennis Baniabo of Brgy. Duyoc Dao, Capiz was caught collecting bets for Small Town Lottery (STL) Bookies at Brgy. Poblacion Ilawod, Dumarao town.
On Thursday, the police filed charges against the suspect before the Capiz Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
Baniabo is detained at Dumarao police station.
