Task Force Kabalaka first caught a truck transporting sand at Brgy. Salocon, Panitan without a valid delivery receipt, which is prohibited under Section 20.01(n) of Ordinance No. 011, Series of 2017.
Another truck was nabbed at Brgy. Bailan, Pontevedra for presenting a tampered/open-dated delivery receipt, which is also a violation of Section 20.01(j) of the same Ordinance.
The ordinance penalizes persons who transport minerals such as sand, gravel, and ordinary earth without the corresponding delivery receipt.
The apprehended trucks with the aggregates are in the task force’s custody until the corresponding fines are settled.
This operation is part of the intensified campaign of the Capiz Provincial Government through CaPENRO to fight against illegal quarry and mining operations in the province.
