BACOLOD City – Personnel of Police Station 7 here is probing the death of a man who was believed to be a victim of “salvaging” or summary killing at Barangay Mansilingan here last Sunday.
Lt. Conrado Espino Jr., station commander, identified the fatality as Genesis Zayco, 26, of Barangay Villamonte here.
Espino said the victim was reported missing since June until he was found buried in a sugarcane field over the weekend.
Espino said the victim’s face was covered with clothes and his hands hogtied.
Police cannot determine his injuries as he was already in the advance state of decomposition.
“More than three days na siguro kaya di pa malaman iyong injuries niya,” the station commander said.
Espino said they could not tell if the victim was killed somewhere else or was just left in the area.
