BACOLOD City – Police have identified one of the three suspects who robbed a salesman and a driver of a panel van at Sitio Bagroy, Barangay Delicioso, Ilog, Negros Occidental last Tuesday.
The identified suspect was Nilo Topez Jr., 24, of Barangay Guiljungan, Cauayan town, while his two companions remain unidentified.
Topez was identified by one of the victims through the rogues’ gallery of Ilog Municipal Police Station, as his face was not covered during the incident.
Based on police investigation, the victims were in front of a sari-sari store when Topez and his companions appeared from behind and allegedly declared hold-up.
Two of the robbers were armed with a firearm, while their unarmed companion carted away their sales collection amounting to P120,163 that was kept inside the vehicle.
The perpetrators then fled on board their motorcycle without plate number towards north direction of Kabankalan City.
A follow-up operation was conducted for the apprehension of the perpetrators.
