BACOLOD City – Two unidentified persons on a motorcycle robbed a sales agent of a cigarette firm at Purok Paho, Barangay Paraiso, Sagay City, Negros Occidental last Thursday.
Police Lieutenant Abundio Diaz, deputy police chief of Sagay City Police Station, said the 32-year-old victim disembarked from their vehicle to deliver cigarettes to a sari-sari store when one of the perpetrators declared a hold-up.
Diaz said that it’s possible that the robbers tailed them from the city proper to the crime scene.
Diaz said bystanders in the area saw the incident but failed to identify the robbers who were wearing bonnets.
The robbers carted away the victim’s money amounting to P7,000 and his cellular phone, he added.
The suspects then fled, leaving the victim and his driver unharmed.
Diaz said they already have persons of interest in the incident.
He said it was the first robbery hold-up incident that happened in the city this year.
