Keep up with your new year’s fitness goals by joining WWF-Philippines and Runrio’s Wildlife Loop— a virtual race supporting environmental and wildlife conservation efforts.
Live from January to March 15, 2024, Wildlife Loop is a fun, stress-relieving challenge that can be accomplished anytime, anywhere—with distance options ranging from 5 to 60 kilometers. Special prizes await those who finish their routes in the shape of any wildlife species.
“We want to tap into people’s appreciation for nature and the outdoors through this fundraising initiative. We are also inspired by how the Wildlife Loop enables both creativity and productivity among our participants,” expressed KD Montenegro, WWF-Philippines Individual Donors Program Manager.
Rio de la Cruz, Runrio President & Founder, shared his excitement about involving the running community in environmental conservation.
“We have always envisioned to ignite a passion for running and a love for the outdoors through our running events at Runrio. The overwhelming enthusiasm and support from participants truly inspire us to continue creating impactful experiences.”
Aside from the finishers’ entitlements, exciting prizes and surprises are in store at the end of the race period. This is all made possible by our Wildlife Loop partners— Booth and Partners, Bergel Project, Red Planet Hotels and Klaypel.
“Wildlife Loop is a fun fitness challenge for everyone, not just for running, walking, and cycling enthusiasts,” said WWF-Philippines National Ambassador Rovilson Fernandez who is one of the participants joining the race. “We all have a part to play in protecting nature, and joining virtual races like this one is a simple but proactive way of doing so. I think it’s a great way to anchor your personal health goals towards advocacies like biodiversity conservation.”
Registration period is extended until February 15, 2024. For more information, log on to bit.ly/wildlifeloop or follow WWF-Philippines’ social media channels.
