ROXAS CITY, Capiz— The administrator of the city’s premier market tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Market administrator Helouise Mendoza of Teodoro Arcenas Trade Center (TATC) confirmed herself that she contracted the virus.
Because of this, the Roxas City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (RCRRDMO) conducted disinfection, fogging and misting in her office and the market.
Meanwhile, Roxas City now has 843 confirmed cases (86 active cases, 715 recoveries, and 42 deaths).
Capiz has recorded 28 more cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.
The data released by the Provincial Health Office indicated that 18 new cases are in Roxas City, 6 in Jamindan, 2 in Pontevedra, and 1 each in Cuartero and President Roxas.
At present, Capiz has 1, 556 confirmed cases wherein 10.09% or 157 were active cases; 85.41% or 1, 329 recoveries; and 4.49% or 70 deaths.
