Roxas City top wanted man surrenders

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — The No. 1 most wanted person in Roxas City voluntarily surrendered to police Monday afternoon, June 15.

Police identified the suspect as alias “Miguel,” 23, of Barangay Lomboy, Panay, Capiz.

He surrendered at the Roxas City Police Station around 5:30 p.m. in connection with a rape case.

The court recommended no bail for the rape case and PHP 120,000 bail for a separate sexual assault case.

The warrant of arrest was issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Joan Marie B. Bargas-Betita of Branch 14 in Roxas City, Capiz, on Jan. 25, 2025.

The suspect is in the custody of the Roxas City Police Station for proper disposition.

Meanwhile, a farmer was arrested Tuesday afternoon, June 16, in Barangay Poblacion, Mambusao, Capiz, for qualified rape.

The warrant of arrest was issued by RTC Judge Judith Orendain-Tonogan of Branch 20 in Mambusao, Capiz, on June 16, 2026.

The court recommended no bail for the suspect, who is in the custody of the Mambusao Municipal Police Station.

Police also served a warrant of arrest Tuesday afternoon, June 16, against a student wanted for reckless imprudence resulting in serious physical injuries and damage to property in Barangay Poblacion Proper, Mambusao, Capiz.

Police identified the suspect as alias “Ardy,” 18, of Barangay Tumalalud, Mambusao, Capiz.

The warrant of arrest was issued by Municipal Circuit Trial Court Judge Bernie Alfon of Mambusao, Capiz, on June 15, 2026.

The court recommended PHP 30,000 bail for his temporary liberty.
