ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Roxas City will host the National Festival of Talents from April 18 to 22, drawing delegations of students from across the country for the Department of Education’s flagship co-curricular competition.
An inter-agency meeting led by the DepEd-Roxas City Division and the city government was held to finalize preparations for the event, covering logistics, venues, security, accommodation, and transportation for regional delegations.
Mayor Ronnie Dadivas said the event is not only an activity for the education sector but an opportunity to showcase Roxas City and the generosity of Capiznons.
Dadivas called for cooperation from all sectors to ensure a successful hosting.
The NFOT is an annual DepEd event that provides a platform for basic education learners to showcase skills in technical-vocational-livelihood competitions known as Technolympics, arts performances under the Sining Tanghalan program, and academic subjects.
The 2025 edition was held May 19 to 23 in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, following local division and regional elimination rounds. Events included Likhawitan, Bayle sa Kalye, and industrial arts competitions.
