The rice assistance is also part of the local government’s food security program.
Mayor Ronnie Dadivas said that since the start of the pandemic, “Roxas City, as part of our food security program, has been giving rice to over 32,000 thousand families in the city.”
Roxas City’s population is 168,000.
“We will also continue giving monthly rice assistance this year as part of our food security program and to help our constituents recover from the pandemic,” he added.
The priority program will be implemented by the City Mayor’s Office and City Social Welfare and Development
