ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A drug bust resulted in the seizure of approximately P1.122 million worth of suspected illegal substances.
Conducted in the barangay of Lawaan, the operation led to the apprehension of three high-value individuals identified as Marvin Bergantinos and Rogelio Tribulete, both of Barangay Punta Tabuc here; and Aira Jean Degala of Barangay Tapulang, Maayon, Capiz.
The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, in collaboration with the Station Drug Enforcement Team of Roxas Component City Police Station and the Capiz Provincial Intelligence Team, carried out the sting in a residence reportedly used by the suspects.
Authorities recovered 33 sachets of suspected shabu, weighing a total of 165 grams, along with P10,500 used in the sting operation.
Police Captain John Mark Jambalos reaffirmed the commitment of the Capiz Police Provincial Office to proactive enforcement measures to safeguard the community.
The suspects are now undergoing legal procedures, including drug testing, and the confiscated items have been sent to the Capiz PNP Crime Laboratory for examination.
Charges are being prepared against the suspects for violations under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
