ROXAS CITY, Capiz — The police on Wednesday morning, Oct. 1, arrested a woman who was wanted for the crime of robbery.
Members of the Roxas City PNP station served the warrant of arrest against alias Ruby of Roxas City while she was roaming around the streets here, and she was smiling while the warrant for her arrest was read by the apprehending police officer.
The warrant of arrest was issued by a Municipal Circuit Trial Court in the Cities (MCTC), and the court recommended PHP 48,000 bail for her temporary liberty.
She is presently in the custody of the Roxas City PNP station for proper disposition.
The suspect was involved in a series of robbery incidents in the city and in nearby towns of Capiz, but no one dared to file cases against her as most of the victims knew she had a mental health condition.
Ruby Arikis was known for asking for something to eat, as reports said that she has no family to attend to and care for her.
Only recently, one of her victims took up the cudgels to file criminal charges against her to stop her illegal activities.
