ROXAS CITY, Capiz— This city has logged 130 deaths caused by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) since the start of the pandemic.
Based on data released by the City Health Office (CHO) on August 14, 2021, the city has 3,028 confirmed cases including 298 active cases and 2,600 recoveries.
On the other hand, 23 persons have recovered recently while two died which included a 64-year-old male from Brgy. 2 and 89-year-old female from Brgy. Bolo here.
Brgy. Tiza has the most number of active cases with 50 followed by barangays Baybay (26), Inzo Arnaldo (24), Milibili (22), Tanque (19), Banica (13), Barangay 11 (13), Lanot (12), Barangay 1 (11), and Dayao (9).
Of the 298 active COVID-19 cases here, 35 were health workers, 14 were frontliners, one returning overseas Filipino (ROF) and 248 were local transmissions.
