Roxas City local nabbed in drug bust

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A 36-year-old resident of Brgy. Mongpong here was arrested Monday night in a drug buy-bust operation conducted at Poblacion Ilaya, Panay, Capiz.
Francis Abalayan was collared after handing over two sachets of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P20,500.
The operation was jointly conducted by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU 6) led by PLt. Glenn Soliman; Panay Police Station led by PMaj Bryan Fallera; Regional Highway Patrol Unit (RHPU 6) led by PMaj Peter Bergonio; Anti-Illegal Drug Team of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG6) led by PMaj Jess Baylon; Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) led PMaj. Francisco Paguia.
Lt Col. Mark Anthony Darroca supervised the operation.
Police also recovered a black face mask with 9 more sachets of suspected shabu.
The seized items weighed around 30 grams with estimated street value at P250,000.
Abalayan is presently detained at the Panay PNP Station while charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 will be filed against him.
