Roxas City allowed to acquire anti-COVID pill

ROXAS City, Capiz – The Roxas City temporary treatment and monitoring facility (TTMF) is the first outside the National Capital Region to secure a Compassionate Special Permit from the Food and Drug Administration which allows the use of the COVID-19 anti-viral pill Molnupiravir.
The CSP means that the TTMF can acquire Molnupiravir, the first oral drug to manage mild to moderate COVID-19 cases.
Roxas City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas said the pill will help COVID patients avoid hospitalization and even death.
Molnupiravir, sold under the brand name Lagevrio, is an antiviral medication that inhibits the replication of certain RNA viruses, and is used to treat COVID-19 in those infected by SARS-CoV-2.
