Roxas City, Capiz Vice Mayor Teresa H. Almalbis (second from right) buys fruits, using quick response (QR) codes during the Paleng-QR Ph Plus program launch at the city’s Paseo del Rio Teodoro Arcenas Trade Center on 05 December 2024.
The program aims to promote e-payments in markets, public transportation, and other businesses via QR Ph, the national standard for QR codes.

CARD Bank, a BSP Currency Exchange Center, also exchanged unfit and mutilated money for new banknotes or e-wallet credits under the BSP’s Piso Caravan program, while financial service providers helped the public open bank or e-wallet accounts that they can use for QR Ph transactions.
