BACOLOD City – To usher the Yuletide season, the Rotary Club of Bacolod and Robinson’s Place Bacolod celebrated the annual “Wish Upon A Star”, December 16, 2023 at Robinsons Place Bacolod Main Atrium area.
This annual benefit activity is in partnership with the Rotary Club of Bacolod, Robinson’s Place Bacolod and other donor-partners.
The activity gathered 112 poor and indigent children from selected Ati and coastal communities in Brgy. 13 & Brgy. Estefania in Bacolod City, Sagay City and Home for the Blind.
The event happened at Robinsons Place Bacolod to share the spirit of Christmas thru gift giving, entertainment and snacks/lunch.
The gift-giving was headed by Hope officers and members of the Rotary Club of Bacolod led by President MIchelle Medrano and assisted by Past District Governor Edgar Sy, Bacolod City Vice Mayor & Past President El Cid Familiaran, this year’s organizing committee headed by Past President & Secretary Frederick Anthony de Leon, Incoming Club President Marjorie Dino, Past President & Club Director Pauline Cuaycong, Past President Jose Glenn de Guzman, Immediate Past President Franklin Andre Familiaran and Rotarian Spouse Tanya Familiaran, Assistant Treasurer Aileen Palma, Rotarians Jet Pili, Errol Arroyo, the Rotaract Club of Bacolod Colegio de San Agustin Nursing Chapter headed by Pres. Natasha Marie Cuales, Club Moderator Mr. Bong Lacanilao, Past President Alan Nuega of RC Sagay-Sinigayan, Robinsons Place Bacolod represented by Ms. Mary Jo San Marte, Mall Operations Manager and Ms. Krista Anne Lapore, Marketing Manager, Engr. Charles Dino, Ms. Charina Puentebella, Mr. Andy Feria.
The gift giving event coincided with the ceremonial lighting of the Christrmas Tree of Robinson’s Place Bacolod at the Main Atrium.
The Rotary Club of Bacolod has been celebrating the annual “Wish upon a Star” for the past 25 years.
