The Rotary Club of Bacolod, the fourth-longest-serving Rotary club in the Philippines, celebrated its 89th charter anniversary and 87th turnover and induction ceremony on June 20, 2026, at O Hotel in Bacolod City.
Esperanza Melgar, acting regional director for the Negros Island Region of the Department of Trade and Industry, served as guest of honor and speaker.
Leading the club for Rotary Year 2026-27 is High Impact President Edlyn Agraviador, who aims to build on the legacy of past leaders while finding innovative ways to expand the club’s reach and impact.
Immediate Past President Amelyn Bravo formally turned over the club leadership to Agraviador.
Agraviador and the other officers were inducted by Past District Governor Ramon Cua Locsin of the Rotary Club of Metro Iloilo, with District Governor Victor Federico Acepcion as witness.
The other inducted officers were Jason Tupas, vice president and president-elect for RY 2027-28; Pauline de Leon, secretary; Hana Isabella de Guzman, assistant secretary; Juliana Louise Llaguno, treasurer; Bea Bern Gilbor, assistant treasurer; Dexter Telis, director for club administration; Faye Ramos Geruldo, director for membership; Charles Dino, director for public image; Samuel John Solon, director for service projects; Therese Emily Cuaycong, director for New Generation; Edgar Sy, director for the Rotary Foundation; Jedrick Go, assistant director for service projects; Miguel Brito, assistant director for public image; Fraulien Ramos, assistant director for New Generation; Christine Moraca, assistant director for membership; Jet Gabriel Pili, assistant director for administration; Clyde de Guzman and Errollplen Arroyo, sergeants-at-arms; Jesus Jonathan Avelino, parliamentarian; Leilani Alba, club facilitator; Chuchie Destriza, auditor; Amelyn Bravo, immediate past president; and Marjorie Dino, club adviser.
A President’s Award was presented to Club Secretary Richard Paul Salem, Past President Roderick Augustus Alba, Past President Leilani Alba, Rotarian Samuel John Solon, and Past District Governor Edgar Sy.
The program also featured the pinning of Paul Harris Fellow recognition to Rotarian Aileen Palma, Immediate Past President Amelyn Bravo, Vice President and President-Elect Jason Tupas, Past President Richard Paul Salem, and Assistant Governor and incoming District Secretary Past President Frederick Anthony de Leon.
The pinning was led by Past District Governors Ma. Ester Espina, Ramon Cua Locsin, and Edgar Sy, along with District Governor Victor Federico Acepcion.
The program concluded with the induction of new members, led by Baby Rotarians Manuel Miguel del Castillo, Jennifer Agraviador, Fiela Angelica Pasco, Franco Tacanloy, and Ron Mailard Rosadia.
District Secretary and District Governor Nominee-Designate Adrian Funtellar administered the charging, while Assistant Governor and incoming District Secretary Frederick Anthony de Leon served as inducting officer.
The celebration formally opened RY 2026-27 for the Rotary Club of Bacolod, whose officers and members are expected to continue heeding Agraviador’s call to unite for good and create a lasting impact in the communities it serves.
