ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A retired municipal official died after she was accidentally sideswiped by a bus while riding her bicycle Sunday afternoon at Barangay San Jose Dumalag, Capiz.
Roberta Trazo, 74, former municipal administrator of Dumalag town and resident of Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Dumalag, succumbed to fatal head injuries after she was hit by Ciudadano Liner driven by Domingo Estares, 51, of Manhoy, Dao town.
Investigation conducted by Dumalag Municipal Police Station indicated that the mishap occurred while Trazo was biking from a cemetery.
The road where the accident occurred is under construction.
Trazo was declared dead at the Sen. Gerry Roxas District Hospital in Dao.
Estares surrendered to the police.
