A retired police officer and his wife were injured after they were allegedly shot morning of July 18 at Dao, Capiz.
Police identified the victims as spouses Gerardo and Norma Enesario of Barangay Ilas Norte, Dao town.
According to reports, while the couple was busy packing their things at their old house in Sitio Pampang, Barangay Matagnop, the suspect, Jimmy Dordas arrived.
Dordas is allegedly an active member of the National Intelligence and Coordinating Agency (NICA), the government’s primary intelligence gathering and analysis arm that is in charge of carrying out overt, covert, and clandestine intelligence programs.
The suspect allegedly went to the couple and a heated argument ensued. Shortly later, several gunshots were heard.
The couple sustained multiple gunshot wounds on their legs and was brought to Dao District Hospital for treatment.
Dordas was unharmed and voluntarily surrendered together with his firearm – a caliber .9mm Glock 17 pistol (serial number BF073) with one magazine loaded with 13 ammunition.
The suspect is now in police custody.
