After three decades in the police service, Colonel Uldarico Garbanzos will be hanging up his uniform soon.
But a month before that, Garbanzos will be leaving his post as director of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO).
The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) confirmed that they have received an order designating Colonel Leo Batiles to take over the ICPO’s highest post effective Nov 7, 2021.
Batiles, a member of Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class 1994, will officially assume as ICPO chief during the turn-over of command ceremony on Monday, Nov 8.
Garbanzos will be put on non-duty status until his compulsory retirement on Dec 7.
Batiles is the outgoing chief of the Regional Headquarters Support Unit 6 (RHSU-6) based in Camp Delgado, Iloilo City.
Prior to that, he was the commander of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 (RFMB-6). He was also designated as deputy provincial director of Capiz PNP a few years back.
Batiles also headed the Escalante City Police Station in Negros Occidental.
