BACOLOD CITY – A 33-year-old man previously arrested for theft was caught again, this time for a drug offense in Barangay Bata here on Tuesday.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) apprehended the suspect, known as “Doydoy,” with 70 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP 476,000.
Police Lt. Richard Legada, assistant CDEU chief, said they are verifying whether the suspect appears on the barangay’s drug watchlist but confirmed he is tagged as a high-value individual.
Legada said the suspect had been under a three-week surveillance following a tip-off about his alleged drug activities.
He also confirmed that the suspect was previously charged in a theft case in 2023.
On Wednesday, charges for the sale and possession of dangerous drugs were filed against the suspect.
