Investigation by Sigma PNP indicated that Digno was walking with his friend Nestor Duron around 4:20pm when he figured in an argument with Lony that led to a fistfight.
Lony then picked up a rock and bashed his uncle’s head.
Digno was taken by the Sigma Response Team (SRT) to Senator Gerardo Roxas Memorial District Hospital in Dao, Capiz but he was declared dead on arrival (DOA) by the attending physician.
Digno and Lony where drunk during the incident.
Police are eyeing old grudges as the motive for the incident.
Lony is now detained at the police station after he voluntarily surrendered to the police.
Based on the autopsy results, the main vein in the victim’s head burst and his skull was cracked, which led to blood clotting.
