REMEMBERING SIR JIGS: San Agustin Writers Workshop pays tribute to Jigger S. Latoza

On Nov 19, 2021, Remembering Sir Jigs: The San Agustin Writers Workshop Pays Tribute to Sir Jigger S. Latoza will be officially launched as part of the closing ceremonies of the 18^th San Agustin Writers Workshop.

A tribute to one of the founders of the Fray Luis de Leon Creative Writing Institute, Jigger S. Latoza, this anthology is a collection of literary works contributed by 21 San Agustin Writers Workshop alumni, panelists, and organizers: Antonio Aguilar, Lawrence Bernabe, Melchor Cichon, Adrian Paolo Cordero, Isidoro Cruz, Norman Darap, Gilda Deguma, Carmen Dureza, Early Sol Gadong, May Anne Jaro, Cymark Ferdinand Mirasol, Arlene Moscaya, Adhoniz Rebong, Reymando Salem, Reyson Samulde, Karla Quimsing-Sinson, Erwin Sustento, John Iremil Teodoro, Elsed Togonon, Ma. Ivy Pulmones-Tutanes, and Jonard Verdeflor.

Also included in this anthology are the literary works of prize winners and finalists in the Leoncio P. Deriada Awards, namely: 8^th San Agustin Writers Workshop fellows Rommel John Belonio, Lucell Larawan, Gil Montinola, Jerome Norico, Pietros Val Patricio, Julie Prescott-Gonzales, and Michelle Serrano-Magat; 14^th San Agustin Writers Workshop fellows Leynard Floyd Alcoran, Alexander Dorado, Jr., and Cary Pangantihon; 15^th San Agustin Writers Workshop fellows Rhick Lars Vladimer Albay, Leonard Francis Alcoran, Jonell Gregorio, Nal Andrea Jalando-on, and Georgene Quilaton-Tambiga;  16^th San Agustin Writers Workshop fellows Maria Cristina Canson, Anthony Capirayan, Ian Jay Dris, Chuvic Monserate-Etabag, and Danielle Parian-Pijuan; and 17^th San Agustin Writers Workshop fellows Roehl Joseph Dazo, Rey Alexander Palmares, Noel Pingoy, Adhoniz Rebong, and Charles Dominic Sanchez.

Published by the University of San Agustin College of Liberal Arts, Sciences, and Education and Kasingkasing Press, this anthology is edited by Palanca award-winning poet Isidoro M. Cruz and SEAWRITE Awardee John Iremil Teodoro, friends and colleagues of Jigger S. Latoza at the University of San Agustin.
