Authorities arrested one of Western Visayas’ most wanted individuals on the afternoon of October 17 in Jordan, Guimaras.
The suspect, alias Riyal, 35, was apprehended at his residence in Sitio Singcalang, Barangay Balcon Melliza, Jordan town.
The arrest was carried out by members of the Jordan Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Guimaras Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Intelligence Unit, the Guimaras Provincial Mobile Force Platoon, the Regional Intelligence Unit 6 (PIT Guimaras), and the Highway Patrol Team–Guimaras.
Riyal was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued for rape under Article 266-A (1)(D) of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Section 1 of Republic Act No. 11648.
The arrest warrant was issued by Branch 65 of the 6th Regional Trial Court in Jordan, Guimaras, on the same day.
No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.
Riyal is listed as the No. 2 Regional Most Wanted Person.
In a previous report, the Police Regional Office 6 said it had arrested 59 individuals across Western Visayas from October 1 to 15, 2025, under its ongoing campaign against wanted persons.
Of those arrested, 18 were classified as Most Wanted Persons, while 41 were tagged as Other Wanted Persons.
The arrests resulted from 61 police operations conducted by various Provincial and City Police Offices and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6.
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office recorded the highest number of arrests with 22, followed by the Capiz Police Provincial Office with 17, and the Iloilo City Police Office with seven.
