ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A 19-year-old housewife is no longer interested to file a complaint against a person who allegedly raped her inside her room a few days ago.
Rhea (not her real name) went to the Roxas City police station and signed an affidavit of non-interest to file a rape complaint against Peter (not his real name).
According to Police Senior Master Sergeant Rose Olaveja, chief of Women and Children’s Protection Desk of the Roxas City Police Station, she called both parties regarding the case.
But the victim said she pitied the suspect because he has a family, too. And besides, she considered the suspect a friend.
The victim added that the suspect and her husband and some family friends were sometimes buddies in drinking binges.
Rhea had accused Peter and an unidentified companion of sexually assaulting her inside her room several days ago.
