Two persons facing rape charges were arrested in the past days.
The Cadiz City and Ilog Municipal Police in Negros Occidental nabbed Nonie Silpao for four counts of rape at Purok San Antonio, Brgy. Tinampa-an in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental on April 27, 2021.
Silpao is a resident of Barelia 2, Brgy. Zone 2, Cadiz City.
Regional Trial Court Judge Rosario Ester B. Orda Caise of Kabankalan City issued the warrant on November 24, 2014.
Silpao was turned over to the Ilog Municpal Police Station.
Meanwhile, operatives of the Antique Police Provincial Office in coordination with Cavite Police successfully arrested the No. 2 Most wanted of Antique for a rape charge.
Jose Tonding Jr., 36, was arrested at Sitio Malumot, Brgy. Panapaan 7, Bacoor City, Cavite around 12 pm of April 27, 2021.
Tonding is a resident of Brgy. Panapaan 7, Bacoor City, Cavite and a native of Purok Pigado, Brgy. 8, San Jose, Antique.
He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of rape under Criminal Case No. 06-03-7349.
The warrant was issued by then Antique Regional Trial Court Judge Rudy P Castrojas on May 2, 2006 with no bail recommended.
The arrest was a result of the combined intelligence operation of Laua-an Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) Antique PPO, San Jose Municipal Police Station, CIDG Antique Provincial Field Unit, PIDMU Antique PPO, RID6 in coordination to Provincial Intelligence Team (PIT) Cavite RIU4A, Bacoor City Police Station.
Tonding is temporarily detained at the custodial facility of Bacoor City Police Station for documentation and booking procedure before he is presented to the court.
