Rape suspects fall

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A rape suspect in Cuartero, Capiz was arrested at Brgy. Quipot, Janiuay, Iloilo recently.

Edgar Lebris, 49, of Brgy. Mainit, Cuartero was collared on orders of Regional Trial Court Branch 14 Judge Faustino Valenzuela Roxas Jr, of Roxas City, Capiz.

No bail was recommended for Lebris’s temporary liberty. He is presently detained at Cuartero MPS.

Meanwhile, a 28-year-old farmer who is also wanted for rape was nabbed Wednesday morning at Barangay Tamulalod, Dumarao, Capiz.

Police identified the suspect as Necanor Casten of said barangay who did not resist when the police served the warrant of arrest issued by RTC Branch 16 Judge Kristine B. Tiangco-Vinculado of Roxas City.

The court did not allow him to post bail.
