ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 29-year-old tricycle driver was arrested by the police after six years of hiding.
Jacklin Elauria (alias Jack Elauria) of Brgy. Lawaan here was collared by joint forces of the Roxas City police and members of the Special Weapon and Tactic (SWAT) at his residence Thursday.
Elauria went into hiding after a woman filed rape and frustrated murder complaints against him six years ago.
The warrant of arrest was issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge lgnacio Alajar of Branch 18 here dated January 24, 2013 for the crime of rape and frustrated murder.
The court recommended no bail for rape while P200,000 for frustrated murder.
The suspect was accused for sexually abusing a woman at Pueblo de Panay area. Not contented, the suspect stabbed the victim 21 times.
