Rape suspect nabbed

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A man facing three counts of statutory rape was arrested by police Thursday afternoon at Barangay Tuburan, Maayon, Capiz.

Jurred Dichosa, 24, of Barangay Guinbi-alan also in Maayon did not resist when authorities served a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Faustino Valenzuela Roxas Jr. of the Regional Trial Court Branch 14 in Roxas City, Capiz on December 7, 2021.

Dichosa, who was not allowed to post bail, is presently detained at Maayon Municipal Police Station.

Meanwhile, a 32-year-old person wanted for homicide was arrested Thursday in Brgy. Anhawon, Panay.

The police identified the suspect as Hargie Azares, 32, of said place.

The warrant was issued by Roxas City RTC Branch 18 Judge Ignacio Alajar. The court pegged a P200,000 bail for his temporary liberty.

Azares is detained at Panay police station.
