A man accused of rape was arrested at noon on Jan. 12 in Calinog, Iloilo.
Alias Bruno, 22, of Barangay Binolosan Pequeño, Calinog, was arrested in Barangay Poblacion Ilaya in the same town.
Police said the suspect was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest for three counts of statutory rape under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code.
The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 76 in Janiuay, Iloilo, on Dec. 16, 2025.
The court recommended no bail for his temporary liberty.
Members of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6’s 602nd Company carried out the operation in coordination with the Calinog Municipal Police Station, the 62nd Special Action Company, the 6th Special Action Battalion of the PNP Special Action Force, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Police Intelligence Unit and the Regional Intelligence Unit 6.
Police said Bruno is the province’s top five most wanted person in Iloilo.
On Jan. 10, Iloilo Provincial Police Office operatives also arrested the province’s top four most wanted person.
Alias Aron, 29, a resident of Barangay Capul-an, Mina, was arrested in Barangay Mina West shortly after midnight on Jan. 10.
Police said he was arrested pursuant to a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 6 in Dumangas, Iloilo, on Jan. 8, 2026.
The court set no bail for his provisional freedom.
Both suspects were held in police custody before they were turned over to the courts concerned.
