BACOLOD CITY – Police are probing another harassment against a radio blocktimer after his house was strafed by unidentified perpetrators in Barangay Zone 12-A, Talisay City, Negros Occidental on late Sunday night.
This recent incident came six years after a similar case happened in Sept. 19, 2019.
Rey Siason, working for RPN-DYKB and DYRL, said that he was about to sleep when gunshots erupted outside his house at around 11:15 p.m.
Recovered from the scene were 13 spent shell cases of .45 caliber pistol, and eoght deformed slugs of an unknown firearm.
Siason believed that it was work-related, as he disclosed to the police that he had previously received death threats.
Police Major Rhazl Jim Jocson, deputy chief of Talisay City Police Station, said that they are still probing if the same perpetrators were behind the two incidents.
Jocson said they could not confirm yet if this incident could also be linked to an election-related case.
Police speculated that motorcycle-riding suspects may be behind the incident, but no lead yet on their identities.
The incident caused damaged to the victim’s car and motorcycle. No person was harmed in the incident.
