A 14-day ‘quarantime’ journal which contains suggested activities for individuals undergoing quarantine was launched by the Department of Health- Center for Health Development Visayas (DOH-CHD 6) on Wednesday to help ease the anxiety and stress in quarantine facilities.
The journal which was a brainchild of Dr. Marlyn W. Convocar regional director of DOH-6 and developed by the Reintegration Team of the DOH-CHD 6 lays down suggested activities for individuals undergoing quarantine in the facilities.
According to Dr. May Ann Soliva-Sta. Lucia, head of the DOH-CHD 6 Reintegration Team, the journal contains Bible and Quran verses, inspirational quotes and poems, recommended exercises, playlists and movie recommendations to cover the 14-day quarantine of the patients.
“The journal contains activities which may be done for 14 days. From Bible and Quran verses about love, healing and life and beautiful quotes and poems. People will get excited everyday and they will look forward to finish their quarantine,” she said during the launching on Wednesday.
Convocar said the main goal of the project is to help ease the stress and anxiety of patients undergoing quarantine so that they will be physically and mentally prepared to go back to their communities.
“Integration is the last and most important part of our Come Team Initiative. From prevent, detect, isolate, test, treat, and reintegration. The last part is the most important because it is where the patients are integrated and accepted by the community,” she said.
The journal which will be posted online at the DOH-CHD 6 Facebook page can be used by anyone, according to Convocar.
“Quarantine should be enriching and productive by doing this journal,” she furthered. (ERS)
