ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 54-year-old person with disability (PWD) was arrested Tuesday morning following a child abuse case at Brgy. Cagay here.
Rene Edpalina is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9262 or Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.
The warrant for his arrest was issued by Judge Roy Morallon of the Regional Trial Court Branch 35 in Ozamis City on March 26, 2018.
A P24,000 bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.
Edpalina is presently detained at the Roxas City police station.
