The veteran duo of Ces Molina and Ria Meneses just found their new home once the next Premier Volleyball League (PVL) conference kicks off later this year.
After spending their last three playing years with the Cignal HD Spikers, Molina and Meneses made headlines on July 8, 2025, when they agreed to be a part of the Farm Fresh Foxies.
With their addition, the young and upcoming team has just received another much-needed veteran and locker room boost, as evidenced by their signing of Rachel Anne Daquis last season.
Despite a long layoff in the PVL, Molina and Meneses are still valuable pieces for a championship team, proof is how they turned the HD Spikers into a consistent playoff squad from 2022.
However, their relationship with the franchise ended in an unexpected way as both players reportedly had a contract breach upon departure last January 9, 2025.
Avior Talent Management, the agency representing Molina and Meneses, announced that the duo would part ways with the franchise due to their expiring contracts.
However, Cignal management clarified that contract extensions for both players were offered as early as October 2024, a month before the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference began.
Reports indicate that Molina and Meneses’ contracts were already nearing expiration at the start of the PVL All-Filipino Conference in November 2024.
Cignal refuted claims of failed contract negotiations, stating that they had provided extension documents but received no response from the players’ camp despite repeated attempts to contact them.
After the miscommunication, the HD Spikers just decided not to field both players in the remainder of the All-Filipino Conference, where they suffered a shocking and early exit during the PVL Play-In stage.
