PVL all-set to become PH’s first pro volleyball league

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is all set to become the country’s first-ever professional volleyball league.

Despite not holding any tournament since March amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the PVL organizers moved ahead and prepared for something bigger.

Confirmed to be returning next year, PVL announced that their application to be an official professional league was already approved by the Games and Amusements Board (GAB).

After taking over Shakey’s V-League last 2017, the PVL is now the home of Creamline, Petro Gazz, Motolite, Chocho Mucho, Banko Perlas, and BaliPure.

President Ricky Palou is excited about the plans they laid out together with his team for the upcoming PVL season and also in celebration of turning pro.

With the help of GAB’s endorsement, PVL was able to get their license of turning pro as GAB is part of the Joint Administrative Order together with the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Department of Health (DOH), and the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) that oversees the overall sports status in the country.
