BACOLOD CITY – Mayor Miguel Peña of Pulupandan, Negros Occidental, was re-elected president of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines–Negros Occidental Chapter during elections held Friday, August 8, 2025, at Luk Foo Palace, Acacia Hotel.
Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson administered the oath of office to the newly elected officers immediately after the election.
Also present at the event were Negros Occidental 4th District Rep. Jeffrey Ferrer and Vice Governor Joben Alonso.
Peña expressed gratitude to his fellow mayors for their trust and confidence in his continued leadership of the league.
He stressed the importance of collaboration among all mayors, especially during disasters and calamities, in assisting affected communities with the support of the provincial government and Rep. Ferrer.
