“This year’s NSM theme ‘Bridging Digital Gaps: Making information available to all’ recognizes the importance of digitalization but emphasizes the need to address the social inequality in terms of access and use of ICT. It underscores that making quality information accessible and available to all enables leaders, policy-and decision-makers to formulate better plans to serve our country’s economic and social needs. This is also true for the private sector, where decisions of private establishments, individuals and households are influenced by information they get through online/digital platforms,” Losare said.
