PSA Negros Occidental marks Pride Month

BACOLOD CITY — The Philippine Statistics Authority Negros Occidental conducted a Pride Month trivia activity on June 17 and 24 to promote awareness, inclusivity, and respect for members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
The activity engaged clients through an interactive and educational trivia game highlighting the significance of Pride Month and the importance of fostering an inclusive and respectful society.
Participants answered trivia questions and learned more about advocacy efforts for equality, diversity, and human rights.
Pride Month is observed every June to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and recognize continuing efforts to advance equal rights, inclusion, and protection from discrimination.
Through the initiative, PSA Negros Occidental provided clients with a platform to better understand the LGBTQIA+ community.
The agency said the activity also reinforced its commitment to upholding diversity and promoting an environment where every individual is valued, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
PSA Negros Occidental said the activity demonstrated how interactive initiatives can help promote awareness, appreciation, equality, and inclusion. (PSA)
