BACOLOD CITY — The Philippine Statistics Authority Negros Occidental joined the Trabaho Agad Job Fair: Araw ng Kalayaan Job Fair Caravan on June 12, 2026, at the Main Atrium, North Wing of SM City Bacolod.
The activity was held in celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day with the theme “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.”
The job fair was organized by the Department of Labor and Employment in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office.
PSA Negros Occidental said its participation supported the event’s goal of connecting job seekers with potential employers while bringing government services closer to the public.
Through its PhilSys Fixed Registration Center, the agency provided Philippine Identification System services to job fair attendees.
These services included National ID registration, issuance of paper-form IDs, assistance on National ID concerns, and responses to other PSA-related inquiries.
PSA Negros Occidental said a trusted and inclusive identification system helps Filipinos build a better future while recognizing the country’s continuing journey toward progress and development.
The event also featured an opening program and ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Department of Migrant Workers-Negros Island Region Regional Director Glenda M. Aligonza, PESO’s Jovelyn Canoy, SM City Bacolod Mall Manager Julia Javellana, DOLE-Negros Occidental Officer-in-Charge Gretchen I. Pasiolan, and SM City Bacolod Marketing Manager Kathlyn Tiu.
As the country marked Independence Day, the PSA said it remained committed to providing quality service and ensuring that every Filipino can fully benefit from the National ID system.
