The Philippine Statistics Authority–Iloilo Provincial Statistical Office will conduct the Crops Production Survey for the first quarter of 2026.
The PSA said the Crops Production Survey is one of its major quarterly agricultural surveys, designed to estimate the volume of production for crops other than palay and corn.
The survey will also gather estimates on area planted or harvested, the number of bearing trees, hills, and vines, and farmgate prices for these crops.
PSA Iloilo said the data will feed into the computation of the Value of Production in Philippine Agriculture and Fisheries, a key measure used to track farm-sector output.
The agency added that the results will also support preparation of the country’s gross domestic product, where agriculture remains a major component of national growth accounting.
Beyond national accounts, PSA Iloilo said the survey is intended to meet the data needs of planners, policymakers, and other agriculture stakeholders.
The agency cited the National Economic and Development Authority, the Department of Agriculture, and the DA’s attached agencies as among the institutions that use the survey outputs for planning and decision-making.
PSA Iloilo set the enumeration period for March 18–31, 2026.
A total of 28 statistical researchers will be deployed to cover 386 sample barangays across Iloilo province during the fieldwork period.
The survey will include 2,166 sample households and establishments across the province, according to PSA Iloilo.
PSA Iloilo urged the public to assist its statistical researchers by providing accurate and truthful information.
