The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Iloilo Provincial Statistical Office has successfully registered a 110-year-old centenarian through its National ID house-to-house registration program in San Rafael, Iloilo, reinforcing its mandate to provide an inclusive and accessible identification system for all Filipinos.
The centenarian, Ms. Jovita Aranga, was registered at her residence in Barangay Ilongbukid, San Rafael, Iloilo, on December 12, 2025, as part of the agency’s ongoing mobile registration activities for senior citizens and persons with disabilities who face difficulty visiting fixed registration centers.
PSA Iloilo said the house-to-house registration reflects the agency’s commitment to reaching even the most senior members of the community and ensuring that no Filipino is left behind regardless of age or physical condition.
Having lived through generations marked by typewritten records and handwritten identification, Aranga’s registration was described by PSA Iloilo as symbolizing the country’s transition to a secure, digital, and unified National ID System, with her demographic and biometric information now recorded alongside millions of Filipinos nationwide.
The registration was carried out by the National ID team, with Registration Assistant Reo Lasanas assisting Aranga in the collection of her biometric and demographic information during the activity at her home.
From October 1 to December 14, 2025, a total of 6,597 senior citizens were successfully registered with the National ID across the Province of Iloilo through sustained mobile and house-to-house registration initiatives, according to PSA Iloilo.
To expand participation, PSA Iloilo said it closely coordinated with local government units and other stakeholders to inform the public—particularly senior citizens and persons with disabilities—about the benefits of the National ID System.
The PSA Iloilo Provincial Statistical Office reaffirmed that through continued coordination and targeted registration efforts, it remains committed to ensuring an inclusive and accessible identification system so that no Filipino is excluded from the National ID program.
