PSA Guimaras serves 150 clients during open house

PSA Guimaras personnel assist clients during the Open House Day, providing accessible services and information on the agency's programs and services.
GUIMARAS — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Guimaras Provincial Statistical Office served 150 clients through its National ID, civil registration and PalawanPay services during the observance of the 37th National Statistics Month (NSM), highlighting its continuing efforts to bring frontline government services closer to the public.
The accomplishment was recorded during the PSA Open House Day: Serbisyong PSA Para sa Lahat, held Oct. 8, 2026.
Of the 150 clients served, 92 availed themselves of National ID services, 46 requested civil registry documents and 12 received assistance at the PalawanPay booth.
For National ID services, PSA Guimaras issued 78 National IDs in paper form.
The office also recorded seven registration transactions, five of which resulted in the immediate issuance of paper National IDs.
In addition, seven requests to update demographic information were accommodated, with four resulting in the immediate issuance of paper National IDs.
“These nine real-time issuances were already included in the total of 78 paper National IDs issued,” Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida B. Losare said.
The Open House Day was conducted under the 37th NSM theme, “Tuklas Pilipinas: Statistics as Beacon Towards Inclusive, Resilient, and Sustainable Tourism.”
National Statistics Month is observed every October under Presidential Proclamation No. 647, issued in 1990, to promote public awareness and appreciation of the importance of statistics in national development.
This year’s celebration highlights the role of reliable statistical data in guiding tourism policies, investments and programs that promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
“The celebration emphasized the importance of official statistics in understanding local conditions and supporting informed decisions for tourism and development,” Losare said.
Through the activity, PSA Guimaras continued to promote awareness of its frontline services and statistical products while improving public access to government services.
“The initiative also underscored the importance of reliable official statistics in supporting informed decision-making and inclusive, resilient, and sustainable development,” Losare said.
