PSA Guimaras ranks fifth in information dissemination awards

GUIMARAS — The Philippine Statistics Authority-Guimaras Provincial Statistical Office placed fifth in the Best in Information Dissemination category for Provincial Statistical Offices during the 2025 PSA Awards held Sept. 17, 2026, at Luxent Hotel in Quezon City.

Provincial Statistical Officer Nelida B. Losare attended the awarding ceremony and received the recognition on behalf of PSA Guimaras.

The recognition highlights the office’s continuing efforts to bring official statistics, programs, services and other relevant information closer to the public through various information platforms and activities.

The Information Dissemination category of the PSA Awards covers a broad range of activities undertaken by PSA field offices.

For Provincial Statistical Offices, these include library services and maintenance, preparation of publications, data dissemination activities, maintenance of social media accounts and other dissemination initiatives.

These activities include producing publications and information materials, conducting data dissemination activities, and distributing information through print and broadcast media, press releases, news features, social media content and audiovisual presentations.

For PSA Guimaras, the recognition reflects the collective efforts of its personnel in conceptualizing, preparing, producing and disseminating information and communication materials for different audiences and stakeholders.

The office’s information dissemination work includes publications and information materials, press releases and news features, social media content and other activities designed to communicate PSA programs, statistical information and services to the public.

PSA Guimaras also recognized the role of its media partners in extending the reach of the office’s information dissemination efforts.

Through the publication and sharing of press releases, news features and other official information, media partners help bring PSA programs, services and statistical information to a wider audience across the province.

The PSA Awards criteria specifically include press releases and news features about PSA data and events as part of information dissemination activities.

PSA Guimaras thanked its media partners for their continued support and collaboration in disseminating official information and strengthening public awareness of the agency’s programs and services.

The recognition formed part of activities surrounding the PSA’s 13th anniversary and provided the Guimaras office an opportunity to recognize the work of its personnel and partners in advancing the agency’s information dissemination mandate.

As part of the anniversary observance, PSA Guimaras sponsored a Holy Mass on Sept. 16, 2026, at St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Jordan, Guimaras.

The Mass brought together PSA personnel and stakeholders for prayer and thanksgiving as the agency marked 13 years of service.

PSA Guimaras also brought the anniversary celebration to the community through a social responsibility activity for Indigenous Peoples at Sitio Kati-Kati, Barangay San Miguel, Jordan.

The activity reached 40 IP children who received school supplies and Jollibee snacks.

Through the initiative, PSA Guimaras personnel shared the anniversary celebration with the children and extended support to the community.

The gift-giving activity also highlighted social responsibility as part of the office’s anniversary observance.

PSA Guimaras said its fifth-place recognition, together with the anniversary activities, reflected continuing efforts to communicate official information, strengthen partnerships, engage communities and support responsive public service.

As the PSA marked its 13th anniversary, the Guimaras office also recognized the contributions of its personnel, media partners, stakeholders and communities in supporting the agency’s mandate.

PSA Guimaras said it remains committed to strengthening its information dissemination initiatives and partnerships to ensure that official statistics, programs, services and other relevant information reach more Guimarasnon communities.
