The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Guimaras Provincial Office continues to strengthen efforts to ensure inclusive National ID (PhilSys) registration across the province, reaching underserved populations such as persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) and other institutional-based registrants.
As part of its intensified registration program in the last quarter of 2025, the PSA National ID team facilitated on-site enrollment for 10 new persons deprived of liberty at the Jordan Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.
The Guimaras National ID team ensured that all enrollees were properly recorded in the national database and issued valid National IDs, which will enable access to government services and programs upon reintegration.
“The registration of the PDLs was conducted on 23 October 2025, marking a significant milestone for inclusiveness in Guimaras’ PhilSys coverage,” Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida B. Losare said.
As of Nov. 30, 2025, a total of 5,875 individuals were registered in Guimaras in 2025 through walk-in registrations, with assisted and online registrations completed in previous years contributing to a cumulative output of 164,851 registrations.
This represents 87.76 percent coverage of the province’s estimated 2020 population of 187,842.
Across the five municipalities, 2025 registration totals were as follows: Buenavista — 1,343; Jordan — 2,690; Nueva Valencia — 726; San Lorenzo — 560; and Sibunag — 556.
The cumulative registered population from 2021 to 2025 stands at 164,851 individuals, the PSA said.
PSA Guimaras has also been actively issuing and distributing ePhilIDs.
As of Nov. 30, 2025, issuance and distribution totals per municipality were: Buenavista — 1,823 issued/34,253 distributed (36,076 cumulative); Jordan — 4,723/20,859 (25,582 cumulative); Nueva Valencia — 2,538/29,593 (32,131 cumulative); San Lorenzo — 880/15,021 (15,901 cumulative); and Sibunag — 835/15,212 (16,047 cumulative).
Overall, 125,737 ePhilIDs have been issued and distributed to date.
“The registration of the PDLs and the continuous issuance of National ID in paper form demonstrate our commitment to ensuring no resident is left behind in the national identification system,” Losare said.
“Even as the year comes to a close, PSA Guimaras remains dedicated to inclusive, comprehensive, and transparent civil registration across the province,” she added.
PSA Guimaras stated that it continues to coordinate closely with local authorities, institutional partners, and community stakeholders to promote nationwide coverage, transparency, and efficiency in National ID registration.
“Residents are encouraged to coordinate with PSA for inquiries or assistance regarding National ID registration,” Losare said.
