The Philippine Statistics Authority Guimaras continues to strengthen identity access and public service delivery through the Philippine Identification System, with more than 122,416 ePhilIDs issued in the province as of June 2025 since local implementation began in September 2022.
“The ePhilID is a printed, paper-based version of the national ID and serves as an official and valid proof of identity,” said Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida B. Losare.
Losare explained that the ePhilID, which is A5 in size (14.8 x 21 cm), contains the same personal information and security features as the physical PhilID card.
“It is fully recognized and accepted in both government and private transactions, including access to social welfare programs, financial services, education, employment, and other essential services,” she said.
Between January and June 2025, PSA Guimaras issued 1,951 ePhilIDs as part of its ongoing fixed-site and mobile registration operations.
“These efforts aim to reach residents in far-flung barangays and ensure inclusive access to identity documents,” Losare added.
In addition to the printed ePhilID, PSA Guimaras is promoting the use of the digital PhilID—a secure, mobile-accessible version that can be downloaded via the eGovPH app.
“Since the digital rollout began in May 2024, a total of 549 digital PhilIDs have been downloaded in the province, with 249 downloads recorded in the first half of 2025 alone—a sign of growing awareness and trust in digital ID access,” Losare said.
To access your digital PhilID via the eGovPH app:
- Log in or register using your mobile number
- Select the PhilSys Digital ID option
- Input your Transaction Reference Number (TRN)
- View and download or screenshot your digital ID
Both the ePhilID and the digital PhilID are equally valid and accepted nationwide.
“They serve as official proof of identity and can be used for all public and private sector transactions, even while waiting for the physical PhilID card,” Losare said.
She added that to ensure accuracy and avoid duplicate registrations, PSA Guimaras uses the FindMyTRN verification tool to confirm if an individual is already registered in the PhilSys database.
“PSA Guimaras remains committed to making national ID services accessible, secure, and convenient for all Guimarasnons—whether through traditional registration centers, mobile outreach, or digital innovations,” she said.
