The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office VI, together with PSA Guimaras, met with officials of the Dr. Catalino Gallego Nava Medical Center on May 20, 2026, to discuss the possible integration of National ID Authentication Services into hospital operations.
In a May 25, 2026 press release, PSA RSSO VI said the activity aimed to strengthen awareness of the National ID System and promote the adoption of National ID Authentication Services, or NIDAS, to support secure, efficient, and inclusive service delivery in healthcare institutions.
Registration Officer III Jared Barile led the discussion on how NIDAS integration could streamline patient admission, improve records management, and strengthen identity verification at DCGNMC.
Registration Officer II Jayson Tanaleon facilitated a live demonstration of NIDAS using fingerprint biometric verification through fingerprint scanning and facial liveness.
The demonstration gave hospital representatives a firsthand look at the system’s capabilities.
After the presentation, Dr. Serren Lor Gallinero, acting chief of hospital of DCGNMC, expressed interest in integrating National ID Authentication Services.
PSA RSSO VI said Gallinero recognized the system’s potential to help streamline hospital processes and strengthen identity verification mechanisms within the institution.
The activity forms part of PSA RSSO VI’s continuing efforts to expand the adoption and integration of National ID Authentication Services among government agencies and institutions in Western Visayas.
